Zach Schmidt

Zach Schmidt joined Kemmons Wilson Companies in 2017 and has since become an integral part of its hospitality leadership team. As Head of Portfolio Management, Zach oversees portfolio wide execution of KHWP investment mandates, working with acquisition and investment teams to underwrite new hospitality investments, while overseeing asset level execution across portfolio investments alongside KWC’s asset management. His approach blends strategic rigor with a people-centric leadership style, working collaboratively with team members and partners teams to deliver excellence and long-term value in all KWC endeavors.

Before joining KWC, Zach began his career in New York as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America | Merrill Lynch, after which he chose to relocate to Memphis to be mentored by several men in the business & Christian faith community. Zach enjoys spending time with his family in the Ozarks, and has traveled extensively throughout the world leading ministry trips to serve the most in need. Zach graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dartmouth College with a BA in Economics, and also spent several years studying as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy.
